Work Fields
Mangrove Conservation

The core focus is on the conservation and restoration of mangrove wetland ecosystems. This is achieved through "nature-based solutions for conservation," "active policy advocacy," and "effective capacity building and international cooperation." The goal is to drive both domestic and international efforts to conserve and restore mangroves in response to the global challenges posed by climate change.

Migratory Bird Flyway Protection

The focus is on habitat and biodiversity protection along migratory bird flyways, especially for flagship species. The initiative involves identifying and analyzing the threats to urban bird species along migratory flyways. It aims to enhance the conservation of rare migratory birds and urban bird diversity in China, creating bird-friendly urban environments and safer, healthier migratory corridors.

Green Bay

Focusing on urban sustainable development and urban biodiversity conservation, the Green Bay initiative centers around the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). This initiative promotes the creation of eco-friendly demonstration projects, encouraging social participation and platform networking. It aims to support the realization of ecological and carbon-neutral goals for the Bay Area, facilitating the development of a world-class urban area and exploring practical solutions for "harmony between humanity and nature."

Wetland Education (CEPA)

Based on the Wetland Convention's action plans for wetland awareness and education, the initiative focuses on communication, capacity building, education, public participation and awareness (CEPA). This program aims to engage the public in wetland conservation, promote advocacy, and support wetland protection goals.
