Mangrove Conservation
With the conservation and restoration of mangrove wetland ecosystems at our core, we advance this work through Nature-based Solutions for conservation, active policy advocacy, and effective capacity building and international cooperation. Together, these approaches drive mangrove conservation and restoration efforts in China and across the globe—responding to the impacts and challenges that climate change poses to people, wetlands, and the planet.
Migratory Bird Flyway Protection
Anchored in habitat and biodiversity conservation along key migratory flyways, this initiative deploys science-driven action around flagship species to identify and analyze threats to avian populations. Through this approach, it ultimately advance the protection for rare migratory birds and associated biodiversity in China, cultivates bird-friendly urban environments, and secure safer, healthier flyways.
Green Bay
Centered on urban sustainable development and biodiversity conservation, and focused on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we advance ecological protection in the region by developing eco-friendly demonstration sites, mobilizing social participation, and building collaborative platforms and partnership networks. Through these efforts, we support the GBA's ecological conservation and its pursuit of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, explore practical pathways toward harmony between humanity and nature, and contribute to building a world-class bay area.
Wetland Education (CEPA)
CEPA is an action programme under the Convention on Wetlands that focuses on wetland communication and education. It encompasses Communications, Capacity Building, Education, Participation and Awareness (CEPA), and aims to strengthen the capacity of wetland protected areas and relevant parties through professional support, knowledge exchange and communication. CEPA also seeks to create and expand opportunities for public participation in wetland conservation, thereby supporting the achievement of wetland conservation objectives.
